Dynastic traits can be divided up by faction. Most of these are linked to specific regions and can appear or disappear by certain set dates in the game. Each dynasty usually has an accompanying ancillary image showing the family Coat of Arms. A dynastic trait can have both negative and positive effects, representing the background of contacts, personal culture and experience that the individual character emerges from. Each dynastic trait has its effects based on a summary of that dynasty's historical attributes, its members and family history. EG a family that produced several Archbishops is going to have a higher piety rating.
